Guess what?! I don't make just cupcakes!
Yes... really :)
After the holidays, my pantry was full of extra leftover bits and pieces, so I gathered up a few and combined them. To a very delicious result, I might add!
Somehow I ended up with three bags of pretzels. I think I was a little over ambitious in the desire to make chocolate covered pretzels during Christmas... which never happened. And I also ended up with three partial bags of chocolate chips, all different kinds. There was a half full bag of caramels shoved somewhere in the bag of my pantry shelf as well. I thought, this stuff needs to get used up.
Here's what I came up with.
Ingredients:
Approximately 1-1 1/2 cups chocolate chips
1 cup peanut butter
1/2 of the 16 oz bag of pretzels
handful of caramels

How to make Pretzel Candy:
{I used the good ole "pretzel in the gallon sized zip lock bag" trick to smash up the pretzels just enough. Not too much, but enough}

{After you mix the chocolate/ PB mixture with the pretzels, place the pan in the refrigerator for about an hour until the pretzels are hardened}

{I melted caramel in the microwave with a teeny bit of water}
{After drizzling with caramel, I stuck it all back in the fridge for a little bit}

Store in the fridge or freezer. This stuff is sticky! But it doesn't matter how sticky it is because Pretzel Candy won't last long :)
My 6-year-old son said if we had any leftovers, they would be rotten by tomorrow, so he should just eat the last piece tonight. Okay, I believe him!
